| Our philosophy
for flavor management is simple, "to be the
best flavor we can be" in every flavor that
we offer. When we create a flavor
we take a concept and transform that concept to
flavor by a process
that takes numerous steps. The process eventually
ends with a flavor that has much complexity in
its taste, as one would give a fine wine. We look
at the taste process to be threefold: 1. There is the up-front
taste you get when the
beverage first touches your tongue, 2. It's followed by
flavors you experience in the middle
before you swallow, and 3. Then the endnotes
of the flavor, or what
lingers in your mouth after you swallowed, complete
the experience. The nuances of how
the consumer experiences a beverage profile are
endless. The complexity of building a flavor that
is balanced within each of these stages of beverage
tasting is a blend of art and science. Due to
the subjectivity of our individual tastes, we
test our flavors by sampling them among consumers.
The results are tabulated statistically and give
us the best indicators to the success of the flavor
when introduced. |
